Our Operations Center
At Modwest, you can feel comfortable knowing your data is in good hands. Our facility was built to be as secure and well-connected as possible, ensuring reliable, quick access to your website.
We invested significantly in our systems so they can be quickly and easily scaled as we grow. With a redundant storage system and blade server architecture we can quickly and easily add to our capabilities without causing costly interruptions in service.
Environmental Control
Our physical offices are located just a few blocks from the datacenter in downtown Missoula, Montana. The datacenter, operated by iConnect, is a carrier class facility engineered and constructed to the highest standards and equipped with HVAC environmental control systems, state of the art smoke detection and fire suppression systems, conditioned AC and DC power systems backed up by generators and 24 x 7 secured entry.
Redundant Network Connectivity
Our internet connection is on a fast, secure network multi-homed to internet backbone via multiple circuits from 360Networks, Cutthroat Communications, and their upstream providers AT&T, Global Crossing, and Level 3 Communications, including gigabit fiber to the SIX. Bandwidth capacity is kept well above peak usage rate and BGP4 routing provides stable, efficient, and intelligent data delivery via the fastest route.
Scalable & Reliable Server Architecture
Our grid servers are powered by Xeon and Opteron processors with redundant storage. All systems run on clean power provided by APC Symetra battery power systems for power protection and redundancy to the backup power generator that automatically activates within 30 seconds of a power outage and can run our entire facility indefinitely.
