Why do my mod_security rules cause intermittent Internal
Server Errrors?
Modwest runs a load-balanced cluster of many webservers. Small differences in Apache between them cause some mod_security rules to generate Internal Server Errors.
This is known to affect the rules defined in the .htaccess file that accompanies Interspire Shopping Cart.
The solution is to comment them out by prepending a # sign on each SecFilter line:
# Turn off mod_security filtering.
# SecFilterEngine Off
# The below probably isn't needed, but better safe than sorry.
# SecFilterScanPOST Off
