How do I check how much disk space my files are
using?

Aside from the meters in your Control Panel, you can measure disk usage from a ssh prompt like:

du -chx /

The number given to you by this command is an approximate amount. This other FAQ tells you how actual usage amounts are computed.

If you're interested in just disk usage attributable to your database tables, see this other FAQ.

You can also check file sizes in most FTP clients, by selecting a file
and selecting Properties.
