What is my database server name?
On the Modwest shared hosting system, your database server will never be "localhost".Instead, if you have your own domain name, then use: "db.YOURDOMAIN" where YOURDOMAIN is your own website's domain name, without any "www." in front. For example, if your website is at "http://www.mysite.com" then your domain name is just "mysite.com" and you can use "db.mysite.com" as a database server name.
If you do not have your own domain name, and your website is at http://yourname.modwest.com, then you can use db.yourname.modwest.com as your database server name, where you just prefix your website hostname with a "db.".
MySQL 5.0 is running on "db1.modwest.com".
